Gifts of Life

As parents, it is not our responsibility to have control over or take credit for our children successes in life. Yet, we can hold ourselves accountable, for being a motivating and influential resource, supporting their ability, to achieve excellence in themselves.

In Good We Trust

It’s not where we go or where we are, that matters most. When we have good inside, wherever we go, wherever we are, good is there too. So, hold on strong, to that good feeling. Trust, that we could go through hell and still be good, because we're bringing it with!

Lastly, but not least, the love of my elders, lives in me!

My grandfather, who passed on just 2 years shy of being a Centenarian, professed, he was eagerly awaiting that milestone. He possessed of a healthy measure of joy, with a keen mind, sound reasoning and unwavering spiritual connection to a greater good.

My mother provided a home environment of continuous learning, with a library/museum of art and knowledge. Education, culture and esthetic creativity, continues to be woven into the fabric of her well-being.

My father Murrell A. Jenkins, prior to his passing, fictitiously penned his own accounting of his life and military service. Titled, “A Little Black Boy, Becomes A Sweet Old Boy (S.O.B.)”. To summarize in his words, tested genius, rose in rank, vowing early on, to only lift a pen for his work efforts. After 40 years of service, inducted into a Military Scroll of Honors, for writing administrative policies, over-seeing the transport of all weaponry and munitions, for the Armed Services.

His favorite words of inspiration were: “As a simple child who lives its life, day to day and slowly draws its breath. Feels life in every limb and has no fear of death".

ARSOP’s addition:
As a simple child who lives its life, day to day and slowly draws its breath. Greets each day with a smile on its face, because it feels life in every limb and knows only love, so has no fear of death.
